No 3D model yet?

Getting a 3D model of your product made

Almost every company we speak to says the same thing first: we do not have a 3D model. That is the normal starting point, not a problem, and it is not something you have to solve before you talk to us.

There are five ways into Vulp. Which one fits depends on what you already have lying around: engineering files, an old render, a product on a shelf, or nothing but photos. Below is what each route asks of you, what we do with it, and how the routes compare on price and on the amount of modelling work.

You already have a 3D model

Made for a render, a brochure or a previous project. We make it web-ready and set it up as a configurable product.

What you supply

  • OBJ, FBX, GLB, glTF or Blender file
  • The texture and material files that belong to it
  • Any reference photos, so we can check nothing got lost along the way

What we do

We optimise the mesh for fast loading in the browser, rebuild the materials for real-time rendering, and check scale, orientation and topology before we set up your colours, variants and hotspots.

Best for: Brands that had 3D made before for print or video and want to reuse it online.

From a technical drawing

Your engineering files already describe the product exactly. We convert them into a product customers can turn around.

Some modelling work

What you supply

  • STP, STEP, IGS or another CAD export
  • Colour, material and finish references
  • Which variants or options need to be selectable

What we do

We convert the CAD geometry, strip out internal parts that will never be seen, reduce what's left to a web-friendly mesh without losing the shape, and apply realistic materials, lighting and shadow.

Best for: Manufactured products where engineering already works in CAD: machines, hardware, furniture, sanitary ware.

From photos, with AI

A handful of product photos becomes a first 3D model, which one of our designers then corrects by hand.

Quickest route

What you supply

  • Clear product photos from several angles
  • The main dimensions, so the scale is right
  • A note on any moving parts or variants the photos don't show

What we do

AI generates the base shape from your images. A 3D designer then corrects the proportions and rebuilds the materials, because AI output alone is rarely accurate enough to sell from. With a base shape to start from, this is usually our fastest route.

Best for: Simple shapes, large catalogues, and testing the idea on a few products before committing.

From a 3D scan

The physical product exists but no usable drawings do. We scan the real thing and rebuild it as a clean model.

What you supply

  • The physical product, sent to us or scanned on location
  • Colour and material references if the scan cannot capture them
  • A few working days with the product if it needs to travel to us

What we do

We scan the product or use photogrammetry, clean up scan noise and turn the raw mesh into browser-ready geometry, and rebuild the materials so colours and finishes stay changeable.

Best for: Organic and irregular shapes, handmade products, and anything that exists physically but not digitally.

Built from scratch

No drawings, no scan, no model. Our 3D designers build your product from zero, the way we build for animation.

What you supply

  • Photos, sketches or a sample of the product
  • Dimensions and a materials or finish list
  • Reference products that show the style or finish you're after

What we do

One of our in-house designers models the product from the ground up, then colours, textures and where useful animates it. You review it at key stages before it goes live, and we adjust until it matches what you had in mind.

Best for: Complex, unique or not-yet-produced products, and anything that has to look exactly right.

The price bands above compare the routes against each other, not an actual price: what a product costs depends on its complexity, the number of variants and the route you take, so we always quote per product. As a rough starting point, simple 3D modelling begins around €100. Tell us what you have and we will tell you which route fits and what it costs, before you commit to anything.

What happens when you get in touch

Send us what you have, even if that is one photo and a product name. We look at it and tell you which route fits, what we would need from you, and what it costs for that specific product, before you commit to anything.

If it makes sense for your products, we build a free demo with one of them so you can see the result on your own product page first.
